Abstract
Immigration is one of the most crucial issues for the United States. However, in reality, immigrants who come are often illegal immigrants. This raises concerns about the national security of the United States. Donald Trump, who was president at that time, issued a National Security Strategy (NSS) based on "America First" with a focus on prioritizing the United States, especially, one of which is national security. This study aims to determine the success and impact of implementing policies to stem immigration during the Donald Trump administration, especially after the issuance of Executive Order 13767 regarding border security and increased immigration law enforcement. Drug containment is also the background of constructing the border wall in Executive Order 13767. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collected through literature studies. The final result of this study is that the implementation of Donald Trump's policy in handling immigration issues is considered less successful also, there were negative impacts on the United States government, especially the relationship between the United States and Mexico.
