Abstract

This research aims to discuss the political education process carried out by the work group party to improve the quality of party cadres and the Golkar party to strengthen the elektoral base in 2024 through the Golkar Institute by using the theory of political parties and political education. The method used is descriptive qualitative using primary data sources and secondary data. Researchers used four stages of data analysis according to Nugrahani, namely inductive analysis, data collection process, interactive process, and cyclical stages (data presentation, reduction and verification). The final result of this research shows that political parties need to create leaders or cadres who have quality for the future of Indonesia and the internal party. The Golkar Party has conducted a political education process in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 2/2011 on political parties through the Golkar Institute with the Young Political Leaders (YPL) program. The political education provided by the Golkar Institute uses a discussion-based approach and case studies as well as indirect communication mediated through online platforms, including webinars, social media, and digital applications. The anti-corruption material conducted by Golkar Institute shows the role of political parties in instilling moral values and integrity in politics. Golkar Institute's achievements in the 2024 electoral, Golkar Institute alumni who participated in the electoral contestation can be seen in the 2024 election process, namely 189 Golkar Institute alumni, 63 Golkar Institute alumni were appointed, consisting of one DPR RI candidate, 12 Regional DPR candidates, and 50 Regency / City DPRD candidates.
