Abstract

This research aims to discuss India's cultural diplomacy through the Bollywood film industry towards Indonesia in an effort to help boost India's post-COVID economy from 2020 to 2022. This study employs two primary concepts: Cultural Diplomacy and Soft Power as analytical tools in examining this issue. This research demonstrates that India, through the utilization of the Bollywood film industry as cultural diplomacy and the implementation of culture-based Indian soft power, can contribute to India's economic condition, particularly in the post-COVID economic context. In this regard, India leverages its culture, packaged through the Bollywood film industry and disseminated through globalization, to support its economic condition, which is also applied to Indonesia as one of Southeast Asia's avid Bollywood fans.
