Abstract

The pellet-making machine is a crucial device in the biomass and animal feed processing industries. To ensure optimal performance and operational safety, the frame of the pellet-making machine must be designed with adequate strength. The frame construction is a key component of the pellet-making machine, serving as the primary support for all machine components. The frame must be carefully designed to withstand the machine's operational loads, including vibrations and pressures encountered during the production process. This study focuses on the design and analysis of the frame for a pellet-making machine with a capacity of 50 kg/hour to support stable and efficient production. Using ASTM A36 steel and SolidWorks 2023 software, two alternative frame designs were analyzed under static loads of 15 kg, 30 kg, and 45 kg. The first design demonstrated better structural integrity, smaller displacements, and a higher safety factor compared to the second design. Manufacturing processes such as welding, cutting, drilling, and painting were carried out to produce the frame. This study concludes that the first design is safer and more reliable, particularly for small and medium enterprises aiming to economically produce high-quality pellets.
