Abstract
Rental properties encompass various types and evolving needs, ranging from residential homes to boarding houses. The advent of the internet has facilitated property owners in offering their properties to potential tenants in a broader and more organized manner. This research addresses the issue of data management at "Grogol Mansion," a boarding house that still relies on manual processes. This has led to challenges in recording tenant data, room information, and payment reports, particularly with the increasing number of tenants and service quality demands. Manual processes often result in recording errors and slow responses to tenant complaints. To address these issues, this study designs a web-based system using the Database Life Cycle (DBLC) method. The system requires tenant data, room data, and payment reports as the foundation for management. The developed system is equipped with key features such as a room booking form, a platform for tenants to submit complaints, and an admin dashboard for monitoring and managing data in a more structured manner. The system's requirements and design were gathered through interviews with relevant stakeholders, forming the basis for crafting an appropriate solution.
