Abstract
Nursing ethics is the way nurses fulfill their obligations to patients in providing nursing care, so nursing ethics is a fundamental value that must be adhered to by all nurses. Many patient complaints were also conveyed regarding weak nursing ethics, which had an impact on the caring treatment given by nurses to their patients. The aim of this research is to find out how the application of nursing ethics and nurses' caring behavior are related to each other. This research uses cross- sectional methods and correlational analysis. Purposive sampling was used to collect samples from 147 respondents. Frequency distribution was used in univariate analysis, and Spearman Rank test was used in bivariate analysis. The results of partial analysis showed that there was a relationship between the application of essential nursing values and nurses' caring behavior (p-value = 0.001) and there was a relationship between the application of nursing ethical principles and nurses' caring behavior (p-value = 0.001). The total analysis results showed that there was a relationship between the application of nursing ethics and nurses' caring behavior with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Therefore, all nurses can maintain and improve the application of nursing ethics so that patients can experience optimal caring behavior from nurses.
