Abstract
Awareness and disaster resilience are essential for healthcare workers in facing disasters. Low awareness and resilience among healthcare workers can negatively impact the quality of healthcare services and amplify the consequences of disasters. This study examines the relationship between awareness of hospital disaster management systems and the level of resilience of healthcare workers in facing disasters. The research used a cross-sectional method, with quota sampling to collect data from 369 healthcare workers. A questionnaire was used to assess respondents' level of awareness and resilience to disasters. The univariate analysis was performed using frequency distribution tests, and the bivariate analysis employed the Chi-Square test. The results indicated that most healthcare workers had low awareness and high resilience. The Chi-Square analysis revealed a significant relationship between awareness of hospital disaster management systems and the level of resilience of healthcare workers in facing disasters, with a p-value of 0.016 (p < 0.05). The characteristics of respondents by profession (p = 0.000) also showed a significant relationship with the level of resilience. This study is expected to serve as a basis for hospitals to develop programs to enhance healthcare workers' awareness and resilience in disaster situations.
