Abstract

End-of-Life care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a crucial aspect, particularly for patients in critical conditions. However, the implementation of End-of-Life care in Indonesia remains relatively low. Nurses' knowledge and perception are key factors contributing to the success of End-of-Life care. This study aims to analyze the relationship between ICU nurses' knowledge and perception and the provision of End-of-Life nursing care. A Cross-Sectional Study was employed, involving 65 ICU nurses selected through Purposive Sampling. Data on knowledge, perception, and End-of-Life nursing care provision were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The study revealed a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.000; r=0.633) and perception (p=0.000; r=0.511) with the provision of End-of-Life nursing care. Continuous training programs for nurses on End-of-Life care are essential to enhance their competence in delivering quality care.
