Abstract

This study aims to determine the political attitudes of high school students in Bekasi Regency towards young celebrity legislative candidate Verrell Bramasta. The object of this research is high school students from SMA Negeri 1 Setu, SMKN 1 Cibarusah, and MAN 2 Bekasi in Bekasi Regency. The three schools are schools located in one of Verrell Bramasta's electoral districts, Bekasi Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this study was to use two types of questionnaires, namely closed questionnaires and open questionnaires. There were 87 partisipants from three types of schools in Bekasi Regency in this study. This study uses three attitude components, namely cognitive components, affective components, and conative components to determine the political attitudes of high school students in Bekasi Regency. The results showed that the political attitudes of high school students in Bekasi Regency were neutral with a positive tendency stating that Verrell Bramasta's popularity as a celebrity was an important asset in his candidacy as a legislative member.
