Abstract
People in each region have different abilities in accessing and fulfilling educational needs, through school enrolment rates can determine population access to educational facilities. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of poverty level, GRDP per capita, and the number of schools on the School Participation Rate (APS) in all provinces in Kalimantan Island. This study uses a sample of five (5) provinces during 2017-2023. The research uses secondary data obtained through the official website of the Badan Pusat Statistic (BPS). This study uses panel regression method with Random Effect Model (REM) as well as classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing on STATA 17 software. This study found that partially the poverty rate has a significant negative effect on the School Participation Rate (APS). In addition, GRDP per capita has a positive and significant effect on the school enrolment rate. However, the number of schools has no significant effect on the school enrolment rate. Simultaneously, the independent variables of poverty rate, GRDP per capita and number of schools affect the school enrolment rate.
