Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a crucial measure of societal well-being, and its improvement is essential for fostering a prosperous community. This study investigates the effects of economic growth, minimum wage, and unemployment on the Human Development Index in East Java from 2015 to 2023. The findings indicate that economic growth positively influences Human Development Index, while minimum wage also contributes significantly to its enhancement. Conversely, unemployment has a detrimental effect on Human Development Index, highlighting the importance of job creation and economic stability. This research underscores the need for integrated policies that address these factors to improve the quality of life in East Java.
