Abstract
Indonesia as a country with great human resource potential and ranked fourth with the largest population in the world makes Indonesia a country that has great potential and challenges in managing its human resources. In Indonesia, one of the provinces that still has its own challenges related to low labor absorption is Banten Province. Unemployment in Banten Province is the highest in Indonesia, even though if referring to incoming investment data, this province is the province with the 5th highest incoming investment realization in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence labor absorption in Banten Province for the period 2014-2023. This study uses data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and is analyzed using panel data regression with the selected REM model and hypothesis testing at the 5% level. This study shows that the industrial sector growth variable has a significant positive effect. The investment variable has a significant positive effect and the wage variable has a significant negative effect on labor absorption in Banten Province for the period 2014-2023.
