Abstract

Objective This study aims compare the level of effectiveness of the use of nifedipine and methyldopa in reducing blood pressure according to target in preeclampsia patients at Bekasi Regency Hospital. Method This study is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional method on 62 medical record data of patients with a diagnosis of preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia at the Bekasi Regency Hospital for the period January-December 2023. Analysis of this research data used the Chi-Square test. Result 69.4% of subjects were aged 20-35 years, 77.4% of subjects were in third trimester of pregnancy, 75.8% of subjects had multigravida pregnancies, and 32.3% of subjects were classified as obese II. Conclusion There is no significant difference between the use of nifedipine and methyldopa in reducing blood pressure according to target in patients with preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia at Bekasi Regency Hospital.
