Abstract

This study aims to identify and reduce waste in the mineral water production process at PT. Amanah Insanillahia using Lean Manufacturing methods, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The main issues faced are waste in the form of Waiting time, excessive Motion, inefficient Transportation, and product Defects, which hinder Operational efficiency. The research methods involve analyzing the Current State Mapping (CSM) to map waste, Future State Mapping (FSM) to design ideal conditions, and calculating RPN using FMEA to determine the priority of waste to be addressed. The 7 Waste questionnaire was used to collect data, and VALSAT was applied to select the most effective analysis tool. The study results show a reduction in production lead time from 1,045.9 seconds to 820.7 seconds, a decrease of 21.5%. Non-Value Added (NVA) and Necessary but Non-Value Added (NNVA) activities that previously dominated the process were successfully minimized, significantly improving overall efficiency. In conclusion, the combination of VSM, VALSAT, and FMEA methods is effective in optimizing production processes. Recommendations from this study are expected to help the company improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness, and they can also be applied in other industries.
