Abstract

Anemia remains a common nutritional and health issue among adolescent girls, necessitating preventive efforts through nutritional education. One of the most important aspects of nutritional education is the use of engaging media to convey information effectively. This study utilized TikTok videos and leaflets as educational media. The research aimed to assess differences in anemia knowledge levels before and after nutritional education using TikTok videos and leaflets and to compare the effectiveness of these media on anemia knowledge among female students at SMA Islam Darussalam in Bekasi. The study employed a quasi-experimental design involving 82 students from 10th and 11th grade selected used stratified random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires. Results indicated significant differences in anemia knowledge levels before and after nutritional education with TikTok videos (p=0.000) and leaflets (p=0.000). However, there was no significant difference in the effectiveness of nutritional education between TikTok videos and leaflets (p=0.858). It can be concluded that nutritional education using both TikTok videos and leaflets effectively enhances anemia knowledge among adolescent girls at SMA Islam Darussalam in Bekasi.
