Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a condition where kidney function gradually declines and cannot recover, causing waste buildup in the body. Hemodialysis is a therapy for CKD that uses a machine to filter blood, replacing kidney function. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and the levels of depression and resilience in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at Tarakan General Hospital. The research method uses a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach and is analyzed using the Fisher's exact test. The sampling method is Purposive Sampling, selecting 50 respondents from a population of 57. Instruments used in this study include Nursalam's Family Support, Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II), and The 14-Item Resilience Scale (RS-14). The results showed a relationship between family support and depression levels with a p-value of 0.214 (>0.05) and an OR of 2.844; and between family support and resilience with a p-value of 1.000 (>0.05) and an OR of 0.781. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between family support and the levels of depression or between family support and resilience. The researchers hope that good family support can influence the levels of depression and resilience.
