Abstract

The menstrual cycle in women is a complex biological phenomenon that is influenced by various factors, including physical activity and diet. Menstrual disorders that often appear are hypermenorrhoea, polymenorrhoea, oligomenorrhea and amenorrhea. This study aims to determine factors related to menstrual cycle patterns in adolescent girls. This research uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at SMK Madya Depok with a population of 350 female students. The total sample was 102 female students, using a purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable in this research is the menstrual cycle pattern, then the independent variables, namely stress level, physical activity, diet and knowledge. Univariate test results showed a menstrual cycle pattern <21 days (55.9%), moderate stress level (31.4%), moderate and heavy physical activity (34.3%), and diet (43.1%), as well as knowledge low (58.8%). There is a relationship between stress levels (p=0.029) and physical activity (p=0.031), and there is no relationship between diet (p=0.653) and knowledge (p=0.587) with menstrual cycle patterns in adolescent girls. The variable that is most related is the moderate stress level variable with a percentage of 31.4%. It is hoped that more and more female students will control stress and physical activity.
