Abstract
The feminist perspective in the study of international relations has provided an alternative methodology to analyze international relations concepts. Restrictions on space and opportunities for women to occupy important roles in the socioeconomic structure are a question mark that is still entrenched even in this century. The traditional gender norms that are rooted in the socio-economic system play a role in restricting women from choosing to be involved in the public sector, including positions in the employment sector. Gender equality in the field of employment is an issue that has become a global concern, involving the efforts of state and non-state actors to contribute to its dynamics. In efforts to achieve gender equality in the employment field, the efforts of non-state actors, in this case NGOs, have significance in filling the government's absence in responding to the challenges posed by structural factors. Plan International as an NGO entity is a development and humanitarian organization that aims to provide children's rights and equality for girls. Plan International's commitment is manifested through the Girls Get Equal Campaign as a global movement initiative to achieve gender equality. Thus, this research aims to understand Plan International's efforts in the field of employment using a liberal feminist perspective and the concept of gender mainstreaming using descriptive qualitative research methods. The research results show that Plan International as an NGO is a state collaborator in contributing to gender mainstreaming of the employment sector in Indonesia through the Girls Take Over project in the Campaign of Girls Get Equal.
