Abstract
The use of Female Sterilization (MOW) as a contraceptive method is low in Bogor Regency, particularly in Bojonggede. Out of 45 thousands couples, only 3% of women of childbearing age (WUS) have chosen MOW. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the choice of MOW among WUS in Bojonggede, Bogor Regency in 2024. The research utilized a quantitative cross-sectional study design. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire administered to 171 samples selected via purposive sampling. The results indicated that 10.5% of respondents had used MOW. Multivariate analysis showed that age, parity, perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barriers, and cues to action based on husband’s support influenced the choice of MOW among WUS in Bojonggede in 2024. The most significant factor was perceived benefit and it can concluded that women who perceive MOW as having high benefits are 18.55 times more likely to choose MOW as their contraceptive method.
