Abstract
In 2020, the COVID-19 outbreak resulted in restrictions and closure of economic sectors, including the labor market. This then has a serious impact on women's employment conditions which represents a threat to gender equality. These conditions can certainly hinder the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal 5. The UN then formed the Employment and Livelihood Project to respond to this challenge. This research seeks to analyze the extent to which the project can contribute to supporting the achievement of SDGs goal 5 in the COVID-19 era in Indonesia, with a regional focus in Kupang, NTT, using international organization theory, international cooperation, and the concept of SDGs Goal 5. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods, so that research data is collected through interviews and literature study. The research results show that this project makes a significant contribution in paving the way for women to achieve economic independence and improve gender equality. Through training in the form of soft skills and hard skills, this project succeeded in training 130 women who then experienced an economic increase of 5%, with 55 of them being active in business activities, and 15 of them becoming independent entrepreneurs.
