Abstract
The reality of information social media accounts in Bogor that do not convey information thoroughly / completely in terms of content, thus allowing the public or followers to miss important information such as road construction that has an impact on traffic in Bogor. This study aims to examine the influence of social media content on one Instagram account, namely @radar_bogor, on fulfilling followers' information needs. This study uses the Uses and Gratification model which is used to explain the relationship of the dependent and independent variables. Using a descriptive type quantitative approach with a survey method in the form of a Google Form questionnaire distributed to 200 respondents of @radar_bogor Instagram account followers. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The results of this study were obtained from hypothesis testing with the T test, it was found that T count 15.689> T table 1.984. It can be concluded that the social media content variable has a significant influence on fulfilling followers' information needs. The results of the coefficient of determination test, obtained the amount of Instagram @radar_bogor social media content on fulfilling followers' information needs by 55.4% and the remaining 44.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This shows that the social media content of Instagram @radar_bogor has a fairly important influence in fulfilling the information needs of followers.
