Abstract

Museum is one of the places that can be a tourist attraction that people can visit on vacation. This research discusses one of the long-established museums in the South Jakarta area, namely the Indonesian Kite Museum. Museum Layang-layang is a museum that stores a large collection of kites from all over Indonesia and abroad. The kites on display here are mostly made by kites from various regions as well as from employees at the Kite Museum itself. This research aims to find out what communication strategies are used by the South Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office in increasing the number of visits to the Kite Museum. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Then analyzed using Communication Goal Theory. From the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be seen that the communication strategy used by the South Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office is effective in increasing the number of visits to the Kite Museum, and can also be said to include a unique communication strategy in promoting a tourist attraction.
