Abstract
Based on data from the 2018 Basic Health Research, it is known that there are 11.7% of adolescent girls aged 15-19 years experiencing irregular menstrual cycles. Adolescence is a phase of a person's transition from childhood to adulthood and the occurrence of puberty is characterized by menstruation. The menstrual cycle is fluctuating which can change every month due to various factors. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status, fat intake, physical activity, and stress levels with menstrual cycles in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional research design. The population in the study amounted to 782 people with a study sample of 110 people selected by stratified random sampling technique. Statistical tests using the Chi-square test with the results of a relationship between fat intake and the menstrual cycle of adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong (p value 0.000) and there was no relationship between nutritional status (p value 0.459), level of physical activity (p value 0.959), and stress level (p value 0.753) with the menstrual cycle of adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between fat intake and menstrual cycle and there is no relationship between nutritional status, physical activity level, and stress level with the menstrual cycle.
