Abstract
More than 80 percent of SMPN and SMAN students on the BKT banks in East Jakarta have engaged in risky sexual behavior, such as dating, petting and having sex. In addition, there are also cases of Open Booking Online (BO) and unwanted pregnancy. This study aims to determine the factors associated with premarital sexual behavior in SMPN and SMAN students on the BKT banks in East Jakarta in 2024. This research method is quantitative with cross-sectional design. The population was the students of SMPN and SMAN in BKT East Jakarta as many as 753 respondents. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling and obtained 502 respondents. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between gender (p-value = 0.000), education level (p-value = 0.000), the role of parents (p-value = 0.002) and the role of peers (p-value = 0.003) with premarital sexual behavior. Meanwhile, reproductive health knowledge, parents' education level, parents' employment status and access to information were not associated with premarital sexual behavior. Adolescents need to improve their understanding of sexuality and reproductive health through seminar. Parents expected to build communication with their children. In addition, support from peers essential to help adolescents maintain commitment.
