Abstract

Indonesian Disaster Information Data (DIBI) states that the highest annual disaster in Indonesia occurred in 2020 with a total of 5,059 events, with floods as the number one disaster that often occurs, totaling 1,609 events, causing many victims. The impact of flooding not only causes physical and material losses, but also traumatizes the victims. Resilience plays an important role in recovery, or prevention against long-term negative psychological sequelae after a disaster event. The purpose of this study is to see the description and factors that influence the resilience of MTsN 19 Jakarta students in dealing with floods. This quantitative study used the chi-square test with a cross sectional approach, a sample of 215 students and sampling using quota sampling. The results showed that the majority of MTsN 19 Jakarta students had high category resilience with age, grade level, parental income, and flood experience as factors influencing disaster resilience. It is expected that this research can be a source of reference for educational institutions and more research related to disaster resilience in adolescents with a larger number of samples so that the results can be more optimal.
