Abstract
Based on Law Number 2 Year 2011 Article 29 which regulates the representation of women by 30%, each political party needs to apply a certain pattern to realize it. In this case, DPD PKS Tangerang Regency is interesting to study because PKS women's representation in the 2024 Election actually exceeds the 30% quota, but for 3 elections, none of the female candidates nominated were elected as DPRD members. Therefore, this study aims to determine the recruitment pattern applied by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) in recruiting female legislative candidates in Tangerang Regency for the 2024 Election, including understanding the criteria set by PKS in selecting qualified female candidates. The research that the researcher conducted used the supply-demand theory proposed by Pippa Norris and Joni Lovenduski which identified four aspects of supply resources, namely finance, time, organizational experience, and support networks and motivation as an analytical knife. The data obtained came from interviews and literature studies. The results of this study show that the Prosperous Justice Party of Tangerang Regency uses a closed recruitment pattern that requires female candidates to come from internal cadre members and follow cadre stages according to internal levels first. In addition, they also still experience discrimination in internal political party policies, such as the campaign block system, serial numbering and campaign incentives from the party.
