Abstract

This research aims to examine the efforts made by the government during Anies Baswedan's administration (2017-2022) to optimize the function of the Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) Kalijodo located in Angke Subdistrict, Tambora District. Situated in Tambora District, the Kalijodo area is known for its dense population and was previously associated with prostitution and gambling. Since Anies Baswedan's appointment as the Governor of Jakarta, the once-transformed Kalijodo public space has become increasingly neglected and poorly maintained. This study employs a qualitative approach combined with descriptive methods. Data is gathered through in-depth interviews and literature reviews. Utilizing urban regime theory, the research seeks to uncover the roles and efforts of the government in ensuring effective urban growth. The government has endeavored to optimize the function of RPTRA Kalijodo by providing training for managers and the surrounding community. Additionally, efforts include improving security through the construction of perimeter fences around RPTRA Kalijodo.
