Abstract

In recent years, the development of electronic payment tools has become increasingly diverse. All existing payment systems are integrated with the presence of electronic money in Indonesia. The presence of foreign currency and currency in physical form is slowly being replaced by the practical use of electronic money. On this occasion the author would like to discuss electronic money on a website called JKT48 Points which has hundreds of thousands of users but has a usage time limit, namely 180 days from the last top up of JKT48 points. In the research that will be carried out by the author, the author will conduct research regarding the legal basis and validity of agreements related to JKT48 points. The author will also conduct research on what if no transactions can be carried out within the specified time period, whether they will still expire and if that happens, whether they are legal according to the law and how consumer protection is related to this. The type of research used in writing this thesis is Normative Juridical Research where this writing will examine library materials or secondary data as basic material, so the data collection technique used is Library Research. Next, after the necessary data has been collected, the author carries out an analysis of cases related to the material of this thesis. The research results show that 1) The electronic contract for the JKT48 Points purchase agreement meets the requirements for the validity of the agreement, 2) The regulations regarding the expiration of JKT48 Points violate Consumer Protection Law and these regulations should be abolished
