Abstract
Risky sexual behavior continues to increase, especially among teenagers. Preliminary discussions with fatherless teenage girls in Bekasi City have shown the presence of risky sexual behaviors. In 2023, there were 4,093 divorce cases filed in Bekasi City, potentially impacting adolescents' growth and development due to the absence of a father figure following parental separation. This study aims to determine the relationship between the absence of a father figure and risky sexual behavior among teenage girls who are dating in Bekasi City using a cross-sectional approach and purposive sampling technique. The study population includes teenage girls in Bekasi City aged 15-22 years, with a sample of 310 respondents. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses, with the Chi-Square test applied. Univariate analysis results show that the majority of teenage girls experience high levels of father absence 179 (57.7%) and high levels of risky sexual behavior 170 (54.8%). Bivariate analysis results indicate a significant relationship between father absence and risky sexual behavior (p-value = 0.034), as well as other factors such as age, family role, exposure to pornographic media, and peer influence. The findings highlight the need for balanced parental involvement in educating and supervising their children's social interactions.
