Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore konco wingking culture in the practice of household accounting. Implementing phenomenology method throughout the research along with traditional javanese woman from malang regency as the source of data. The research has discovered that the tradition of konco wingking has made salary and blessing as a blessing to be grateful for. This tradition has also grew a sense of trust between husband and wife in terms of managing income. The interviewee has stated that they do not have the financial recording written down, instead they rely on their memory and perception as a form of accounting. The husbands gave all its income to their wives without needing accountability for the money given. Spoken agreement became their accounting language in managing household finance.
