Abstract

OCTO Mobile application as the flagship mobile banking platform of Bank CIMB Niaga, continues to experience an increase in the number of users. Therefore, Bank CIMB Niaga continues to improve the quality of its mobile banking services to meet the needs and expectations of its users. Bank CIMB Niaga identifies the potential use of the latest technology to become a digital banking service that offers complete features in order to serve various customer financial activities. This research uses the COBIT 2019 framework as a guide to measure the capability level of the OCTO Mobile application. The process dimensions used in this research focus on the APO (Align, Plan and Organize) process, which is in the APO12 and APO13 processes, the BAI (Build, Acquire and Implement) process in the BAI10 process, and the DSS (Deliver, Service and Support) process in the DSS02, DSS03, and DSS04 processes. By involving 400 respondents, the results showed that the measurement of APO12 is at level 2, APO13 at level 2, BAI10 at level 2, DSS02 at level 2, DSS03 at level 2, and DSS04 at level 3. So, it is found that the average capability of the processes evaluated is at level 2 (Managed) for the APO12, APO13, BAI10, DSS02, DSS03, and DSS04 processes, while the expected target is to reach level 4. Based on these results and feedback from the questionnaires, the researcher developed recommendations, including a user interface design for the OCTO Mobile application. Descriptive recommendations include improving appearance, features, user services, security, and monitoring maintenance. The researcher provided suggestions related to the user interface (UI) of the OCTO Mobile app to address the identified weaknesses. This includes improving the landing page by adding a fast menu for quick access to e-wallet, QRIS, top-up, and cardless transactions. Recommendations also include the introduction of an error message pop-up feature for User ID input errors, as well as the integration of a biometric login feature to improve app access security. In addition, it is recommended to provide a "My History" feature that can be accessed directly from the main page to make it easier for users to track their transaction history. By implementing these recommendations, it is expected that the user experience of the OCTO Mobile app can be significantly improved through increased ease of access, intuitive navigation, and enhanced security.
