Abstract
Gouty arthritis, a painful form of arthritis, can develop as a result of repeated attacks of gout pain. In Indonesia itself, the number of gout sufferers is increasing from year to year, this is due to adopting an unhealthy lifestyle, one of which is consuming lots of foods high in purine and the public's lack of knowledge about gout arthritis. The aim of this research is to report on family nursing care for Mr. E's family, especially Mrs. The research design for this case uses a descriptive type of research with a case study approach through carrying out nursing assessments, determining diagnoses and scoring, planning nursing actions, implementing nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. The results of the nursing problems obtained were ineffective family health management related to the family's inability to recognize the health problems of family members with gout arthritis health problems, secondly, acute pain was related to the family's inability to care for family members. It can be concluded that the compression demonstration activity is expected to be included in the nursing action laboratory process
