Abstract
Background: This research was conducted to determine the description of nursing in children with typhoid fever using Water Tepid Sponge therapy. Typhoid fever is an endemic disease in Indonesia caused by the bacteria Salmonella Thypi. The World Health Organization (2022) estimates the overall prevalence of typhoid fever to be 11 to 20 million cases in Asia-Africa. Water tepid sponge therapy is a non-pharmacological technique used to reduce body temperature in patients who have fever. Purpose: This study aims to describe orphanages for children affected by typhoid fever. Method: In this scientific paper, the method used is case study, data collection using interview techniques, observation, documentation and literature study. The study was conducte at RSUD Tarakan Jakarta. Research Results: : After nursing care is provided to the client, the diagnosis of nutritional deficit can be partially resolved on the third day of treatment, hyperthermia can be resolved on the third day of treatment and the diagnosis of activity intolerance can be partially resolved on the third day of treatment.
