Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a serious problem that requires treatment. Without proper management, diabetes can cause complications in the eyes, heart, kidneys and other organs and even threaten the sufferer's life. There are two ways to control diabetes: pharmacological through regular medication consumption and nonpharmacological through physical activity. This research aims to provide nursing care for families, especially adults with diabetes mellitus problems, through walking and yoga exercises. The subjects of this research were two adults, namely managed adults and resume adults with diabetes mellitus problems. The design used in this research is a case study through nursing care provided to families. The intervention was carried out for eight weeks. This study showed that the average blood sugar after walking exercise managed clients from 215.25 mg/dl to 201.08 mg/dl and the average after yoga exercise from 226.67 mg/dl to 217.71 mg/dl. In the client's resume, the average blood sugar after walking exercise was from 220.72 mg/dl to 212.50 mg/dl, and the average blood sugar after yoga exercise was from 214.75 mg/dl to 205.88 mg/dl. The conclusion is that walking and yoga exercises positively impact in treatment of diabetes mellitus.
