Abstract

Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a higher education program that provides opportunities for students to contribute to community development. This research aims to analyze waste management in the community of RT 02 RW 08 Kedaung Village, Depok, as part of KKN activities. The research method used is a qualitative method involving field surveys, interviews with government institutions and the community, and secondary data analysis. The research results reveal that the condition of waste management in the village still faces several challenges, especially related to unrealized facilities and low public awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. Even though local sub-districts have made efforts such as weekly waste transportation, community participation still needs to be increased. KKN students also play a role in increasing public awareness by holding educational and training campaigns. The results of the outreach show that people are starting to understand the importance of waste management practices. In conclusion, efforts to increase public awareness and improve waste management facilities need to continue to be pursued to achieve better waste management in Kedaung Village.
