Abstract

In the rapidly advancing era of economic digitalization, challenges pertaining to the privacy of personal data are emerging as a central focus. This research is urged by the pressing need to analyze the implementation of company privacy policies in the digital sector, with Perum Peruri, a digital company specializing in digital security, as the main subject, in line with Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection.The growing accumulation of personal data by digital companies poses a serious risk to individual privacy. It is in this context that the privacy policy of Perum Peruri plays a crucial role in ensuring the digital security of the community. The adopted research method is normative juridical with a legislative approach, utilizing secondary data from primary legal sources such as Law Number 27 of 2022 and company privacy policies, as well as secondary legal resources like books and journals. The study results emphasize the pivotal function of privacy policies in ensuring the protection of user privacy and fostering the continuity of businesses in the digital economic era. Through a thorough understanding of Perum Peruri's privacy policy, this study reveals that the policy covers essential aspects such as clarifying collected data, usage objectives, user permissions, and security measures. Within this framework, Perum Peruri stands out for creating a secure digital ecosystem. The relevance of this study gains prominence amid the escalating incidents of personal data breaches and misuse, which can have profoundly serious, even fatal, consequences. Hence, this study provides in-depth insights into the implementation of privacy policies in digital companies and also makes a crucial contribution to understanding the implications of the absence of Law Number 27 of 2022 on personal data protection in the digital economy era.
