Abstract

The presence of social media now provides a new medium for politics to develop, politicians can also participate in the digital world in order to achieve the desired political goals. The Gerindra party is no exception, which also uses social media Twitter as a tool to convey branding to the public, which aims to change the perception of generation Z as the generation that dominates social media in Indonesia at the moment, and also attract public interest in Gerindra ahead of the 2024 election, which is The election was dominated by young voters as much as 55% - 60%. This research wants to identify how the Gerindra party's political branding efforts on Twitter social media have changed Generation Z's perception of the Gerindra party, which previously used a rigid political communication style. By using qualitative research methods where qualitative research consists of descriptive research and using analysis. Qualitative research focuses more on process and meaning. The theoretical basis is used as a guide to ensure that research is focused on the facts in the field, and also serves as a research summary and resource for discussing research findings, as well as understanding and explaining how to apply them. It is hoped that this research can provide a contribution in the form of education regarding how the political branding of the Gerindra party on Twitter social media can influence the perceptions of generation Z.
