Abstract
Information technology has a significant role in human life, especially in business, management and daily activities. Detaktangsel.com was launched as a news portal on 27 October 2013 as part of the Detak Group PT Penamas Abadi. Since 2017, detiktangsel.com has been independently managed by PT Penamas Banten Media. Problems at PT. Penamas Banten Media is related to information management, namely journalists, publishers, management do not know the number and details of news that has been published per date, month, year from each journalist published, and the calculation process using Microsoft Excel results in delays in submitting reports. The author developed an application entitled "Designing a Web-Based Journalist Report Application at PT Penamas Banten Media" to find out the number and details of news that has been published. This design process uses a gradual approach (Waterfall) and uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a modeling tool. The design of the Web-based Journalist Report Application at PT Penamas Banten Media makes it easy to access information on the number and details of news that has been published. Test results using the Black Box Testing method. The Journalist Reporting System at PT Penamas Banten Media is web-based and can run news pages, reports, user data, category data, tariff data, login and register.
