Abstract
Introduction: There are 44.19 million primary school students in Indonesia, with 13.7% of primary school students in Jakarta having learning difficulties, and 8.04% having learning difficulties due to a lack of working memory. This occurs because there is no screening to assess aspects of child's intelligence which has an impact on their curiosity, understanding, and ability to regulate. Assessing a child's intelligence is not only based on information, comprehension, and digit span tests, but can also be done through neurophysiological examinations using Event-Related Potential (ERP). The ERP examination using EEG produces P300 latency waves to understand the processes of learning, cognition, attention, memory, and information processing. Objective: Understand the relationship between P300 latensi and attention, memory, and self-regulation. Methodology: This study used a cross-sectional analysis design, focuses on the relationship between the P300 wave latency and the information, comprehension, and digitspan tests. The population in this study was the entire student who fit into the inclusion criteria. Result: In this study, a significant correlation was found only between the digitspan test and the latency of the P300 wave at the Cz point (P=0.015). However, no significant correlation was found between the latency of the P300 wave at the Fz point and the information and comprehension tests. Discussion: The lack of significant results is attributed to the changes that occur in the brain maturation of children aged 7-12 years.
