Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of effort and prayer basis in the implementation of accountant professional ethics by tax consultants. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study research approach. The informants consisted of two people, namely Rahayu as a tax consultant and owner of Rahayu Tax Consultant Office (KKP), and Danang as an employee of KKP Rahayu. The results obtained are the basis of endeavor and prayer implemented and act as a supporting factor by Rahayu Tax Consultant Office in carrying out the ethics of the tax consultant profession. The endeavor base referred to in Surah An-Najm verse 39 encourages a person to be serious and intentional because Allah SWI refers to, and the prayer base referred to in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 186 as a form of belief in the creator while presenting the divine role into every strategic decision made by tax consultants. To support the basis of effort and prayer as the foundation of fiqh muamalah, the al-birr wa al-taqwa factor is used in an effort to care for a servant to others as a form of devotion to Allah SWT. The novelty of this research is that the basis of endeavor and prayer can be explored and has a bearing on the topic of ethics of the accounting profession carried out by tax consultants,
