Abstract
This research is prompted by numerous cases of misappropriation of zakat funds. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the implementation of good amil governance at Lazis Al Haromain. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study design used to explain the existing mechanisms at Lazis Al Haromain and assess the governance of the Amil Zakat Institution using nine instruments, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness, integrity, reliability, competence, and reputation. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation, and observation. Data validation is conducted through source and method triangulation. The research data is obtained from the Director, Administrative and Financial Manager, Fundraising Manager, Human Resources Manager, Distribution and Empowerment Staff, and Muzakki. The results of this study provide an overview of the mechanism for managing ZIS at Lazis Al Haromain, and Lazis Al Haromian demonstrates its commitment to good amil governance by effectively implementing these nine instruments.
