Abstract
Introduction: PTSD happens when someone goes through life-threatening events like war, terrorism, accidents, abuse, or natural disasters. It can really affect someone's life in a big way and harm their body, mind, relationships, and surroundings. This study wants to find out how PTSD symptoms are related to life quality. Methods: This study is a quantitative study with descriptive nature and cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 135 flood disaster volunteer soldiers, as the total sample used. This research was conducted at the Special Raider Infantry Battalion 644/Walet Sakti. Results: Based on the posibility of PTSD, 32.6% of respondents were suspected of suffering from PTSD symptoms. In the physical health domain found 34.1% in the moderate category, the psychological well-being domain found 34.8% in the moderate category, the social relationship domain found 27.4% in the poor category and the domain of relationships with the environment found 33.3% in the good category. After calculating statistical data, the final results of the bivariate test showed a p value> 0.05. Conclusion: There wasn't a big connection between having PTSD symptoms and the different parts of the respondents' lives. The many floods in Putussibau can make volunteers adapt. Also, regular exercise might be why the respondents had good lives. That could be why there wasn't a link between the things we were studying.
