Abstract

The final results of this study show that there is an increase in the political culture index after the occurrence of the digital social movement that occurred on social media Twitter in 2019. For the F value of the digital social movement variable it has an influence on the gen z political culture in East Jakarta. It is known from the results of the calculation that it is 270,036 > F table 2.18, which means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is influence between digital social movements (X) on gen z political culture (Y). From the results of the bivariate analysis of this study, if the variable X digital social movement for questions 1 and 2 Demands, Social Media 2, participation in digital social movement reform is corrupted 1 and 2 has a correlation with the dependent variable, namely gen z political culture because all Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which means that all are correlated and only one social media question 1 (do you have a Twitter social media account?) is not correlated because the value gets .347 > 0.05. From the results of the analysis above, if the variable X of the digital social movement for questions 1 and 2 Demands, Social Media 2, participation in the digital social movement for reform is corrupted 1 and 2 has a correlation with the dependent variable, namely gen z political culture because all Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which means that all are correlated and only one social media question 1 (do you have a Twitter social media account?) is not correlated because the value gets .347 > 0.05. This study has a margin of error of 5% and a confidence level of 95%. The corrupted Reform Movement has an influence on the concern of the current generation Z, as a result of this movement making Generation Z, who were previously less concerned with political dynamics in Indonesia, become more concerned. This is also a factor of the sophistication of social media which is considered to facilitate political knowledge by almost all of Generation Z who are respondents in this study. The current political culture of the Z generation can be categorized as a class political culture in which there has been little concern and participation from generation Z. The corrupted Reform Movement is considered the gateway The first massive digital social movement has had a significant impact to public attention. The news is spread massively through Twitter social media so that the digital social movement for corruption reform can continue to become a direct social movement. After the occurrence of this Movement, generation Z found out more about political dynamics in Indonesia by using social media Twitter.
