Abstract
This study examines analysis of young voters on e-voting as a voting tool in general elections (a case study of young voters in college students and students domiciled in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). The author wants to know young voters, especially in the Jabodetabek area, regarding e-voting as a tool of voting and what is the basis for their perspective. As we know, young voters or the millennial generation from the age of 17-24 years in Indonesia can be said to be technology savvy, even according to research the level of Internet users and Indonesian technology is already high, this also indicates that technological literacy is also high, this is not guarantee their perspective on e-voting as tool of voting in general elections is considered positive or vice versa. This research used descriptive qualitative as a method by using primary data sources and secondary data. The technique of taking the object of research uses in-depth interviews and convenience sampling. The researcher uses data analysis stages according to Miles & Huberman, namely data reduction, data display, and data retrieval. This research found in that the majority of young voters who live in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi have open perspective to implementing e-voting in general elections. However, with a number of notes that must be addressed from the government, election organizers, to the public if they want implementation of e-voting in general elections runs smoothly and all aspects got the benefit.
