Abstract
Preschool age is the age at which children have started to learn to do activities independently, such as learning to walk and run. That can be concluded as their motor skills, not only that, preschoolers can also express expressions such as crying, angry, happy when they are playing. Anxiety is an excessive fear, anxiety about impending disaster, worry or fear of a real or perceived threat. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to analyze nursing care for preschool children who experience anxiety due to hospitalization with EBN intervention in the form of Lego play therapy. The respondents involved in this study were two people with one of the children being given play therapy and nursing care actions while in the treatment room. This intervention was carried out 3 times a week with a duration of 15–25 minutes. Measurement of anxiety scores using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire. The results obtained in managed patients were the anxiety score on the first day of 29 (severe anxiety) and on the third day it decreased to 20 (mild anxiety) which indicated a decrease in the anxiety score of preschool-aged children so that the authors recommended it as an innovation intervention
