Abstract

This study was made to reduce the number of defective products and identify the causes of dominant and non-dominant defects in UMKM X. The method used is Quality Control Circle with PDCA and Seven Tools. with a value of 39% and non-dominant defects, namely dirty cloth defects with a value of 28%. From the results of using seven tools, especially fishbone diagrams, it was found that there were dominant and non-dominant causes of disability in UMKM X, namely humans, machines, the environment, and methods. In order to avoid another defect, UMKM X must add more workers due to lack of manpower which causes fatigue to workers and provide regular training in conducting Quality Control on products according to established procedures. Reducing noise in the workplace, checking machines on a scale and using SOP guidelines when checking products.
