Abstract
Accurate patient identification is a method used by Nursing Professionals (PPA) to differentiate between one patient and another and ensure the actions required by each patient. The implementation of patient identification aims to avoid errors and reduce the number of patient safety incidents, so that nurse motivation is needed to improve compliance. Low nurse motivation can affect nurse compliance to implement patient identification accuracy. This study aims to identify the effect of nurses' motivation on nurse compliance in the implementation of patient identification accuracy at the RSU Kabupaten Tangerang. This research is using descriptive analytic research design with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is a total sampling of 100 people. The results of the study using the Chi Square test showed that there was a significant effect between nurse motivation on nurse compliance in the implementation of patient identification accuracy with p Value = 0.048 (OR) = 2.270. The conclusion of this study is that there are still many nurses who have low motivation so that nurses are not obedient in implementing the accuracy of patient identification. It is hoped that the hospital management can give appreciation to nurses who are obedient in implementing the accuracy of patient identification in order to increase the motivation of nurses.
