Abstract
To disclose and share about one’s personal liking is not always that easy for some people. Especially if it’s something uncommon to be known by public. This is what some women among the boys’s love fan community or called as fujoshi has experienced, where disclosing about their liking towards a boys’love fictions can be quite complicated. The researcher find this social phenomenon very interesting which lead on making a research about boys’ love fictions fangirls (fujoshi)’s experiences in self-dislosing to the people outside of their subculture community. This research is using Johari Window theory and qualitative method with phenomenological approach. This approach is used to assist researcher in learning their self-disclosure motive and how they value their self-disclosure experience. The datas were collected through an in-depth interviews. The results from this research is to find out fujoshi’s personal experience when disclosing themselves and differences on how they value the essence of their experience in disclosing themselves as a boys’ love fictions fangirl.
