Abstract
Shift work is one of the factors that can affect the workload of nurses. Nurses are often faced with a heavy workload. The heavy workload of nurses will cause pressure to work so that it has an impact on the quality of nurses' performance in performing nursing care. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Shift Work and Nurse Workload. The study used a cross sectional research design with Chi Square statistical test and Spearman CI 95%. The study was conducted from March to June 2021, with a sample of 49 nurses in the Non-Covid inpatient room at Budhi Asih Hospital using the Total Sampling technique. The results showed that 51% of nurses experienced a heavy workload, with the result that there was a significant relationship between Shift Work and Nurse Workload in the Inpatient Room of Budhi Asih Hospital (PValue = 0.003). The hospital management is expected to be able to regulate and adjust the division of nurse work shifts and the division of tasks that nurses will receive so as not to cause the nurse's workload to be heavy.
