Abstract

The anxiety level of nurses during this pandemic is important, especially hemodialysis nurses who handle hemodialysis patients with Covid-19 which are more at risk of direct contact with patient body fluids. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation between spirituality and nurses' anxiety levels. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the relationship between spirituality and the anxiety level of nurses treating hemodialysis patients with Covid-19 at Koja Hospital, North Jakarta. This study used a cross-sectional study design that was conducted on 19 Covid-19 hemodialysis nurses with the total sampling method. Data was collected using two questionnaires, namely the spirituality questionnaire with The Spiritual Well-Being Scale (TSWBS) and the anxiety level questionnaire with the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between spirituality and the level of anxiety measured subjectively using a questionnaire with p value = 0.340 for nurses in treating hemodialysis patients with Covid-19 at the Koja Hospital, North Jakarta. For further researchers, it is better to expand the number of samples and analyze other factors that affect nurses' anxiety levels such as family support.
